College Essay Mistakes That Get You Rejected

College Essay Mistakes That Get You RejectedNow that the Berkely College Admissions Office has opened up a new application deadline, it is important to make sure that you have made any possible mistakes in your application. A lot of people make mistakes while writing a college essay and getting accepted. If you know what you are doing, you can get acceptance and gain admission. Many universities are not aware of the work done by high school students in the admissions process and they get rejected from many of the college programs because of it.One of the main things that colleges look for in an application is how you write a college essay. There are certain mistakes you need to avoid at all costs if you want to have a chance of getting into the college you are interested in. In this article I will share with you some of the mistakes that I see from students. The first and most important thing that you need to remember is that your essay must be original. The most effective essays come from you need to come up with a unique way of writing about yourself. You cannot write something like 'I am confident and ambitious' and then come up with an essay about your love for cooking. A good example of an original essay is 'my dad came to the United States to make his fortune and now he is teaching me everything he knows.'The best thing to do if you want to write a personal essay for admission is to write something that has a purpose and it has a reason for being written. For example, if you want to write about your family's history, why you wanted to go to college and what you have learned from the experience, you should use facts and details to back up your story. It is very important to write something that has meaning and does not sound like an opinion piece. The next mistake that many students make in their college essay is that they make it very long. If you make your college essay too long, it will not read as an essay. Make sure that your college essay has at least an average length of 1,500 words. It is too long and will sound very amateurish.Another mistake is to make your essay too long and then try to find some filler words like 'and', 'as well'as well'. There are a lot of words in your college essay that are not necessary, but if you add some of them, it will make your college essay seem much longer. There are plenty of words in a college essay that tells the reader what the essay is about. Do not forget to use these words. The final point that I want to bring up is that if you do not research properly before submitting your college essay, you might end up getting rejected. I know a few students who have spent hundreds of dollars on essays and other materials, only to find out that they did not get into their chosen college program. They spent so much money to get into their college that they ended up getting rejected because they did not do enough research. You need to do research if you want to get accepted.
